Spam! September 20, 2007

Posted by Joe in blogging, blogs, spam, WordPress.

What’s with all the spam all over WordPress all of a sudden? Trying to surf around the blogs here and find something interesting to read and write about and sometimes more than half of the blogs are long lists of links to other blogs or what sound to be porn or other sex related nonsense.

I have reported some of them as spam, but I can’t report them all. I’m being drowned in spam! Help!

On Writing Blogs July 23, 2007

My blog writing has slowed considerably. Which is sad because I was never very prolific to begin with.

There are many things that I find interesting and sometimes get the hankering to write something about, but then when I sit down to actually do it I find I have very little to say that hasn’t already been said better than I could write it.

Here is an interesting blog about a system of secular ethics, or more specifically how to decide what is right or wrong without consulting the supernatural.

Atheism, all the rage? June 8, 2007

I’ve been an atheist since I was about 14. At the time I didn’t call myself that because I hadn’t even heard the word before. I didn’t believe there was a god though, so when I happened upon the word I snapped it up with no reservations.

In the last few months atheism seems to be everywhere! I see it mentioned on TV in news shows and entertainment shows, there are a number of books out related to atheism on the best seller lists and the authors are doing the interview circuit.
